Dear Lord,

Meet me at the beginning of the end.
Or the end of the beginning?
The grafting of one into the other -
A life coming and going with the passage of Time.

Wake me up tomorrow at 10:30AM
Call me, hold me.
I might find that I have dematerialized.
Breathe in, breathe out.
The breath on the windowpane reminds me;
I'm Still Here.

Could it be that I will wake up,
Wash up,
Drive up,
Test,
And walk out a new woman?
Perhaps it could.

I'm breathing in and out,
Still disbelieving at all costs
That's it's been one-thousand and eight-hundred breaths
Since this all began.

I pray that your prayers will be with
The nursing world.
