Juxtapose

I've been trying to sleep for about two hours, to no avail, so I decided maybe a post would help me sleep. I'm leaving for the big Virginnny tomorrow afternoon to see Emvee and the combination of that, clinical nerves, and a stomach too full of Chinese from supper with Sar is keeping me awake indefinitely.

Today is Sven's birthday (wish him one, guys!) but we had his cake and party on Tuesday night. All day today, I kept thinking that I wanted to get him something silly for his birthday even though we had given him presents on Tuesday, but I couldn't think of what. Finally, somewhere between studying OB and my micro lab, I decided I'd give him a hug for his birthday, because I don't give Sven hugs really, unless he's going away for some dastardly long trip for weeks on end, which doesn't happen very often.

Anyhow, I came home really tired and I was going to hang out with Sven, Drew, and Chaz for the night but didn't think I'd make it without the extra hours of sleep (lots of good THAT plan did...), so I just walked in the door and before I set down my books, I said a happy birthday and announced that I was giving birthday hugs tonight. Sven said, yes, aww, that's very good, because when he wished on his candle on Tuesday, he wished for a hug.

Drewey said he could give hugs whenever but Stephen said, no, he needed a girl hug and all his girls were a long ways away at the moment. Well, Widdle Bruvver, I know I'm no Blake, but it was a privilege to be a stand-in birthday hugger tonight. I love you and I wish you a very, very, very exceedingly happy birthday.
