the most i could get into russian lit. was tolstoy. love his short stories. attempted dostoevsky but it tried to eat my will to live so i gave up. i liked ayn rand a million years ago. does she count? she's russian. characters get really wordy about the world and then die. i think it fits the criteria.
I've read Crime & Punishment...it was pretty crazy.....I have Anna Karina on my bookshelf to read now...but that might be waiting for a Summertime read, seeings how,how massive it is...LOL
yayyy i shall go play with my little doll that has a doll that has a doll inside of it that has another little doll inside of it that has a doll inside of that one. thats my idea of russian lit.
You don't happen to know a Jen Van Der Hyde in Wisconsin, do you? I was just at our teacher retreat and we had a music mix exchange and we received one from a former Central Europe teacher named Jen Van Der Hyde who apparently makes awesome music mixes. Juuuuust curious.
