Remember when I babysat over New years, while everyone else was watching the fireworks and getting engaged and all that?

Well, now I'm babysitting the same kids over Valentine's Day.

There has got to be something wrong with me, man.

MarkWell on the bright side, I'm sure their dog will be happy to have it's friend back, (n)eh? ;)

MikeDon't feel bad Cassie. I'm five years older than you - but just the same, I'm going to be cuddling up with my books and a computer on Valentine's Day. Just like I have for since they stopped giving out cards and candy in grade school, and the holiday lost all significance to me. For you, next year, if not the year after, will bring better fortunes. I'm sure of it.... there's no good reason for it not to. I like your smileys, btw! :)

MikeUrgh. I hate it when that happens! Sorry for messing up your comment box, Cassie! I'll be sure to stop by more though now that I know where you are. :-)

SarahAh, it's a beautiful mess, Mike. I can't believe you're babysitting on Valentine's day. I wanted to take you to Wendy's so we could whistle at old couples and make them smile.

CassieAnd thank you, Mike. You're welcome to visit whenever you please. I'll even let you post a million of the same comments - that's just the kinda girl I am and that's just how much I think of you. :) I doubt if next year or the year after that will bring better fortunes, although I can't say I've had bad fortune so far. I'm just a picky person, and even when I have 'good luck' with these things, I never dow hat's best and let them be. I meddle and, consequently, screw them up. Such is life. :) Sar, we can go whistling at old couples ANY time of the year. I mean, really. Why go the traditional route when you can buck the system and make old couples smile on, say, March 3rd or something? And yes, I think the dog missed me, Mark.

MikeI think the old couples would appreciate it more on 3 March myself. When it rains, it always seems to pour! But the time you need the water most is in the middle of a drought. Well. You're not the only person who's gone and taken a wonderful thing in the past and made it all complicated. I've probably had less opportunties, being the guy (TM). But I understand just the same. Ah, shucks, thanks Cass. :-) Hope I don't wear out my welcome TOO soon! ;) And thanks for stopping by my blog!

MikeI imagine that if I met you, you'd look somewhat like the smiley I see above your name, Heidi. ;-) Or at least your expression would look like that. :) That's cool!

CassieNope, nope. No wearing out of welcomes here. As you said, "when it rains, it pours." It's feast or famine here comment-wise, so I appreciate what I get. :) And, you know, when Heidi speaks on the phone, you can HEAR her smile, man. She's a doll. :) I think she looks like the smiley too.

martiniHow d'ya like MY smiley, Cassie? ;) Cass, I've never even got a Valentine. Let's weep together. Here. *passes out kleenex* (Wait? I'm going to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow - to find myself a Knight in Shining Armour!!! ;)) And trust me, there's nothing wrong with you, girl. Just like there's nothing wrong with me. I truly think the only reason God hasn't let any guys fall for me is... is because He wants my heart to be intact for that one-and-only. Cass, I'm sure that if you're alone on Valentine's Day it's because God's letting you charge that heart of yours for when you WON'T be alone. :o)

CassieI highly doubt that, in real life, you look like your smiley, Marti. :) *weep, weep* Nothing like Rennaisance men to cheer the sad occasion, though, eh? Thank you, Martha. You make me smile.
