How I Spent my Summer Vacation
I awoke this morning with a very sore throat, a voice forced out in mumbles like the stuffiest of noses, and swollen lymph nodes so I have an interesting looking goiter/double chin effect. I got kinda excited, despite feeling crummy and having barely slept last night, thinking maybe I had a case of the mumps. Like, cool. I mean, what nurse doesn't want to be able to say someday that she had the mumps even though she got immunized.
I still felt crummy, though, so I saw the doctor this morning and no such luck - it's mono. Exactly what I was hoping for before my boards, vacation to Washington state, job hunting, and my own wedding.
At least I have validation for the reason I've felt entirely stressed, depressed, overtired, and unmotivated this entire previous semester. I felt like maybe it was in my head, but I suppose I probably was sick. Which makes me feel not quite as lumpy.
Oh, mononucleosis. Le sigh.

Oh Cassie. You poor thing. I don't even have the heart to tease you about kissing. This was a no good, dorty rotten trick to throw at you all the sudden.
There are mumps cases going around the county my school is in... I know, I'm a sick puppy Heeds.

Hope you're feeling chipper real soon. Just to cheer you up, have somebody pick up a copy of this week's Valley Dispatch for you and read the Paperboy's thoughts. I was already cheered up when I read the piece you did on your lovely daughter. :) She's a gem. I love your kids, I wish I could hang out with them way more often than I get to now. I mean, I wish I could hang out with anyone more often than I'm hanging out with now, but, you know. All the same. :)

Hey Cass don't go kissing me or spitting on me or anything to that extent. because I am going to North Carolina very soon (yay).I do not want to get sick (AND I was sick on my last birthday) Aww man, poor Cassie! I hope you get feeling better soon. Thankfully I have never had Mono, but my mom got it while she was in college too. Definately get some R & R! And no kissing either! ;-) When's the wedding date set for? Ah, yes, the nothing good old "kissing" disease. Blame Marky for this one! ;-)
But, no really, I hope you feel better soon! But I haven't seen him for more than a month!

I'm just joshin ya...ha...I think it goes with mono. Having mono=people picking on you about kissing people. Blahblahblah, same old, same old. Anyways, I know you haven't been out kissing various and sundry persons. Hope you feel better quick!!! <3 You THINK you know your friends and they... just like that... the accusations begin FLOWING in!!!

And yeah man, Jack is a total cutie. Woowoo, totally! But I didn't kiss him. I can't even blow kisses straight due to my defective lips, sooo. It's just not a possibility.
