Haught Brothers

Permalink 09:31:00 am by cassie, Categories: Announcements [A]

I just have to say, I have Thee Coolest brothers. I mean, who else has a little brother who calls himself Chaz when his name is really Charles Raymond? And if you do have one of them, does he play Bach Suites on the cello in your dining room? Uh-huh. Thought so.

And I'll bet none of your brothers play Bach Suites on the cello in your dining room while wearing baggy jeans, a rust-colored Smith & Wesson tee shirt, and a garage shirt that is embroidered with the "Lynn Falls Exxon" logo on the front and a tiger patch on the left arm. Bet they don't.

My four Rennaisance men. Right in my own house. I'm never letting any smelly girls near them.

CrystalRock on for keeping girls away from brothers. 'Course, then brothers have to go asking girls out without first consulting their older sisters! Hmph.

Slightly smelly guy...Ahem, Cass, that shirt reads "Lynn FELLS Exxon", not "Falls". Just trying the insure high standards, accuracy, etc, blah, blah, blah.
03/17/04 @ 18:30
Comment from: Cassie [Visitor]
CassieObviously I meant FELLS, because that's always what I say when talking of it. And that's "ensure" not "insure," I believe, and if we're talking semantics, your comma should go inside the parenthesis. :-P Heh. Sorry. Particularly feisty at the moment. I think this means it's bedtime. Obviously, I was in the wrong about the Falls thing. Graciously accept the correction for the sake of accuracy, etc, blah, blah, blah. :)

CassieAch! But alas! I was wrong! I've been reading too many chapters on geriatrics for nursing classes. "Ensure." How embarassing. Defaming, even. The laughingstock of all five people who read this. :D

Comment from: Cassie [Visitor]
CassieInsure, as in, insure-RANCE? Or maybe you WERE talking about the Lutein-infused geriatric nutrition drink... I suppose you never can tell...

JenMain Entry: en·sure Pronunciation: in-'shur Function: transitive verb : to make sure, certain, or safe See Cassie?? You were right after all darling. Because to INSURE is to: 1 : to provide or obtain insurance on or for 2 : to make certain especially by taking necessary measures and precautions

Martini>>Just trying the insure high standards, accuracy, etc, blah, blah, blah.<< I believe he meant to say "Just trying [remove "the", replace with to] (e)nsure high[er] standards [remove comma, replace with preposition "of"] accuracy, etc., etc., and so on." But that doesn't mean he couldn't have been just speaking in some French dialect to throw us all off the trail! *waits for Mike to take the bait*

KateYou got it, Cass. There's this girl who most obviously loves my brother. I used to not see it (because she lives near me now) because they've been friends for a couple of years...but I never saw them together. *shudders* She gets under my skin...She likes him way more than friends and he's so blind. I keep telling him "be careful! You don't want her to get the wrong idea!" but he's so blind that he won't acknowledge the possibility of her getting any kind of idea at all. She has plenty of ideas. So do I. Mine are better. *evil laugh*

Guy who is much less smelly noA)Cass, Please look carefully, do you see any parenthesis? I didn't THINK so. B)Dictionary entry #2 for "insure" clearly supports my use of the word. (so there...) C)I will sit quietly awaiting my apology.

CassieNow, now. You KNOW that I meant quotation marks, and I still disagree on the "insure." Sounds a bit off-the-mark to me, but whatever. I begrudgingly apologise. :)
