Kalo Pascha.
Yesterday, for our own little Greek Easter, we ate lamb and manestra and salad and peas and bread and coffee and ice cream. All together as a family, we relaxed and visited. It was wonderful to do nothing and be together. Now that The Drewb, my baby brother, formerly with a cute little lisp and a buzzcut, is grown old (and no longer lisps or has a buzzcut), he totes along his cute little girlfriend, Amanda, with him everywhere. Naturally, she was there as well. When referring to them as an entity, they can be called "Amandrew," but it gets tricky in that, if you refer to the Drewb, you can rightfully call him "Drewmanda," and "Amandrew" may refer to either Drew and Amanda as a single concept, or to Amanda as a separate person. Either way, what would seem to be a convenient amalgam of names gets to be very complicated.
I guess what I'm saying is that it seems strange that The Drewb is hanging around with a bodacious babe because, well, he's The Drewb, and before that he was "Andy" and, listen, my younger brother is just not supposed to have a girlfriend, okay? But all things considered, I find myself having to give him a pass on this one because she's awesome and funny and I think she's worth having as part of The Fam, as all of the hangers-on eventually become after they eat enough food at the house and take up space on my parents' couches for enough consecutive days. Anyways. Good job, The Drewb. I'm really impressed.
In other news, I can be pretty crabby sometimes, but all it takes is Chaz posting on my Facebook wall to cheer me up. A gem from yesterday:
